About This Station
The station is powered by a Davis VP2 weather station. The data is collected every 5 seconds and the site is updated every 30 seconds. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.
This website was created as a way to improve my fishing! I hope to better relate the current fishing conditions with the current weather conditions. Our weather station is privately owned and operated, and should not be considered an officially recognized station for weather reporting. Our site and station are both a hobby and experiment in weather-related computing.
About The town of Ontario, NY
Ontario is a town in Wayne County, New York, USA. The population was 9,778 at the 2000 census. The town is named after a Great Lake on its border.
The Town of Ontario was created in 1807 as the "Town of Freetown" from a part of the Town of Williamson. In 1808 the town name changed to "Ontario." Part of Ontario was used to form the Town of Walworth in 1829.
The Town of Ontario is located in the northwest corner of the county. The town's motto is "A Community of Good Neighbors".
